Thanks for the information about your refrigerator model 59676254701 not cooling and frosting in freezer.

Frosting in the freezer will reduce and even stop cooling in the fresh food section and affect freezer temperature as well. The cause of frost could be as simple as door being left open or ajar allowing warm air to enter the freezer, or it could be more severe and the defrost components have failed.

You may want to manually defrost the refrigerator by disconnecting power open doors and allow melting for about 8 hours. (Prepare for leaking water and move your food to a safe storage)

If the problem was a door issue your unit will operate fine, however if the problem is in the defrost system it will begin to frost again after a few days, and you should call for service as the components for defrosting can be difficult to diagnose.

I hope this helps, should you need additional assistance please reply with added details and I will be happy to respond.

Hi,

Thank you for asking this question and allow me to answer it this way.

This dark oily water in the drip pan under the condenser fan is not a good sign. Going on what you have said it sounds like the refrigerator has a leak in the coolant system. If the refrigerator is under 10 years old or vent younger you would have 2 options The sealed system could be still under warranty depending on the age of the refrigerator. If it is under 10 years you may be able to get a SSA agreement. You should call for service and provide the model and the age of the refrigerator and you should have those options available to you. The last option is to repair the refrigerator, but is the oily water is truly from a leak the refrigerator may have sucked water into the sealed system and this is very bad. Here is the number to call for service. 1-800-469-4663

I hope this answer is useful and that it helps you correct the problem with your appliance.
Thank you for using ManageMyLife.
