Q:

Elite 596.76052703 Bottom Mount Refrigerator not cooling, freezer OK 596.76052703

A:

Good morning.... I can understand your being puzzled since this is the 4th time this has happened. I am certain it is an air flow issue. It probably happens after frost has turned to ice and has built up to block the venting system. I have provided a link below that will discuss just such an issue with your model number. Review this data and keep in mind that an expert will be responding within the next two business days if not sooner. I hope this helps you with your unit not cooling and have a nice day. PS many times frost builds up in the freezer when the freezer door is not well sealed. Air gets in and condenses then turns to frost/ice. So double check and clean your freezer door gasket. Take care.

Sorry to hear you are having a problem with your refrigerator section cooling, I will be happy to assist.
Based on your description of how the refrigerator has been cooling I believe that the fresh food damper is not working. This damper is located in the bottom back of fresh food section and opens and closes to regulate air flow from the freezer into the fresh food section.
Because the damper is controlled by the main system control board it is strongly recommended that you have an experienced technician come diagnose the problem. There are specific test that will need to be performed to determine the exact cause of the problem.
I hope this helps, I will add a link to service below.

Thanks Ron H.
