Question and Answers

Q:

Will a normal customer be able to install p/n 12722803C on model # 596.75534400

A:

Thanks for contacting manage my life about your refrigerator model   59677592802, I will be glad to answer your question. The mullion of the door can be changed; there are only a few screws to remove and reapply, plus a wiring harness that just plugs off then back with new application. _Always disconnect power supply before servicing the appliance and be cautious of any sharp metals while accessing components_You should be able to do this job, just watch how the old one comes off and reinstall new one in reverse order. If you need additional help reply with details and I will be happy to respond. If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.Ron H.

It sounds like your refrigerator is cooling fine, but is not circulating air into the refrigerator as it should.

One possible cause is the evaporator coil (located on the rear wall of the freezer) is frosted over. You can check this by removing the drawer and bins from the freezer and checking for frost on the evaporator cover.

If the evaporator cover is frosted over, there is a problem in the defrost circuit. If this is the case and you want to troubleshoot the defrost circuit, reply on this thread and I will send you the information to test the defrost circuit. You will need a volt/ohm meter for this testing.
