Question and Answers

Q:

Frost 59673212200 Kenmore Kenmore refrigeration

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
I am sorry to hear of the difficulties you're having with the defrost on this Kenmore refrigerator, I know how frustrating that is to have occur.
The defrost circuit on this model is comprised of three different parts, the defrost timer, heater, and thermostat.
If any of these parts becomes defective, the defrost will not work efficiently, and cause these types of issue.
In order to know which part is needed, the three parts would need to be tested with a multimeter for resistance or continuity.
Unless you have experience using a multimeter and can gain access to the parts to do the tests, we would recommend having a service technician help assist with the diagnosis and repair.
If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-349-5071, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.
For convenience, I have listed all three components of the defrost circuit below as links that you may click on to be directed to the SearsParts site to view and purchase whichever one(s) are needed.

Q:

How to disconnect automatic ice maker

A:

Thanks for the inquiry about removing the ice maker form your refrigerator model 596.732.12200, I will be glad to assist you.  The ice maker is held in place by two screws located just above the ice mold and sometime one more screw just at the bottom of the ice maker head. Remove the screws and the icemaker will drop enough to disconnect the wire harness. Pull the ice maker out and remove the ice bucket.  With the ice maker out you does not need to remove the fill tube but you should turn off the water supply to the unit. I hope this helps you if you need a technician here is a link to Sears Home Services. Thanks for using manage my life Ron H.
