Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the water freezing. Sometimes some migration from the freezer can cause the water tank to freeze. First, check to see if the freezer is getting too cold, below zero degrees. To check the temperature, place a thermometer between some packages. If the temperature is too cold, adjust the control to a warmer setting and it may correct this problem. If the temperature is ok, there is a Water Tank Freeze Kit # 12002776 available to help correct this problem. There will be instructions included in this kit.
