Question and Answers

Q:

refrigerator freezing foods 596.69277990

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your refrigerator. Upon researching model596.69277990; assuming that the laundry room is insulated, it sounds like the damper control assembly may need to be replaced.  The damper assembly (diffuser) opens and closes to allow the cold air from the freezer to reach the refrigerator section. When the damper fails it can cause the  cold air to keep transferring to the refrigerator allowing the refrigerator to freeze food. I have posted a link of the damper control assembly to view the link click here.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.
