You will need to test the thermostat on your refrigerator. The thermostat should measure 56K ohms. 

The thermostat also controls the evaporator and prevents it from freezing.

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with your fridge. The defrost system can be manually advanced and it may help determine what the problem is. I'm attaching the information to advance this control board. If it won't advance, the board will need to be replaced. If it does advance, while in the defrost cycle after a few minutes, if you can hear a sizzling sound inside the freezer, it means the heating element is working. In this case, it would also indicate the control board # 12868513 needs to be replaced. If nothing happens while in the defrost cycle, some voltage and resistance checks will need to be made.
