Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with the freezer. If it's doing some cooling but not freezing, it means the compressor is running. Unless the unit is shutting off completely or if you can hear a clicking sound periodically, this will lead to a sealed system problem. A technician will be required to make this type of check and repair. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. From the description listed, it sounds like the compressor is not running. If the noise you hear is a clicking noise, it will be from the relay/overload on the compressor. It would mean that either the compressor is locked (stuck) or the relay/overload has failed. A technician will have a kit, to check and determine which component has failed. For more assistance, additional details such as, where does the noise seem to be coming from and what type of noise it is, will be needed.
