Q:

Ice Maker 59665262701

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about an ice maker for your Kenmore refrigerator. I will be happy to help you with this. There is an ice maker assembly that will work with your model. The assembly includes the ice maker, the valve, the fill tube and the ice bucket. It will also come with the hardware to install it and step-by-step instructions. The part number of the ice maker kit is 4396418. I have included the link for you to order the kit.

The only part that will not come with the kit is the water supply kit that brings the water from the house to the valve you will be installing on the back of the refrigerator. I have located that kit for you also. It is part number WX8X2. I have included that link for you also.

I hope this answers your questions. If you need further assistance, please resubmit your question with additional details. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem. When this type of problem occurs, the control # 12868513 will need to be replaced. First, try resetting it, by disconnecting the power for 30 seconds and then reconnect it. If it still won't run and there is no display, the board will need to be replaced. It's available at SearsPartsDirect . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Yes, that is the old part number but it changes to # 12868513. If you received the original board # W10165748 it would be ok.

I installed the new board this morning and am still having the same problems. The only thing that i have not confirmed through troubleshooting are the thermisters. Nothing is working other than the lights. I jumped out the compressor again and ran for 5 minutes without any problems. The LED display on the new circuit board is not working either. Could the new board be bad also or is there something else i can check

A:

Ben, all of these symptoms relate back to the board. Yes, it is possible to have a defective board but it would be a rare occurrence. Make sure all of the connections are ok and that there is a good ground to this unit. In this case, if these checks are ok, I strongly recommend having a technician check it. You can call 1-800-469-4663 to schedule a tech to come out.

Q:

Where is the defrost timer located at on my Kenmore refrigerator?

A:

The defrost timer is part of the control module #4 & #5 located in the refrigerator section. The defrost limiter (thermostat) #14 & the defrost heater #10 is located in the freezer section behind the back panel. I have included the tech sheet that will explain how to manually force a defrost cycle in the image below.
