Q:

Fridge Not Cooling 59665239400 Kenmore Kenmore refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more than happy to assist you.  I can understand any frustration you may have experienced with regards to your unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

The diffuser sounds like the culprit. When the diffuser goes out it either goes out in the open, or close position. The diffuser is the peace that carry’s the air from the freezer to the Fridge. It’s normally in the peace in the middle of the fridge. I would check the diffuser to see if that is stuck close, you could probably see a lot of ice, as it would be frozen close.

Hope this information has helped you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can click here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. Q:

That part will I need to fix a cooling problem?

A:

This loud buzzing sound is coming from the start device on the compressor. The start device could be defective or the compressor could be locked (stuck). The only way to determine if the start device or the compressor has failed is with a meter. Without the meter, all you can do is replace the start device # 67005560 and hope it works. If the compressor starts and runs, it should be ok but it the compressor still won't start or if it starts and then stops, the compressor will need to be replaced. The start device mounts right on to the compressor. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . If you need more assistance, please resubmit your question, with additional details.
