Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the coils frosting again. A good check will be to manually advance the timer dial slowly, until it clicks and the unit stops running. It will now be in the defrost mode. Open the freezer door now and in a few minutes if you can hear a sizzling sound, it will mean the heating element is working. This would lead back to a defective timer. If nothing happens, some resistance and maybe some voltage checks for the heater and bi-metal will need to be made. A volt/ohm meter will be needed for these checks. If only part of the coils are frosting, it would lead to a sealed system problem. In this case, a technician will be required to make this type of check. I hope this will help you. If you have a meter and feel confident that you can safely make these checks, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Thank you for your question. A good method to test the timer (# 12 in picture) will be to manually advance it. To advance the timer, turn the dial very slow until it clicks and shuts the unit off. Now, open the freezer door and after a few minutes, if you can hear a sizzling sound, it means the heater is working ok. This will indicate the timer # 67001036 is not advancing on its own and will need to be replaced. If the element does not come on, some voltage and resistance checks will need to be made. A technician may be needed to make these checks. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
