Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com. I am sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with the refrigerator, I know how frustrating that can be.

The compressor could be short cycling due to a dirty condenser or if the fan motor quits. If there is no cooling in the freezer, no frosting taking place and the compressor is running, it indicates a problem in the seal system or with the compressor. It can be a restriction or low charge or the compressor may not be pumping.

If the compressor wasn't running at all, it could tie back to the start relay and/or overload. However, since you've mentioned the refrigerator runs, I am suspecting a compressor issue.

These are checks a technician will need to make. If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you're having this problem with the water flow. Make sure the wires are connected on the proper solenoids now with this new valve. The tan and white wires should be on the solenoid that has the smaller water tube, which goes to the icemaker. If the wiring is correct and water is going to the water dispenser, when the icemaker calls for water, it would indicate the valve is defective. A good check will be to remove the other set of wires from the other solenoid on the valve and activate the icemaker. If water still flows to the dispenser it will verify the valve is faulty. If no water flows, this could then be a wiring problem in the cabinet. A technician would need to make this type of check. I hope this will help you.
