Q:

Not cooling. 59650399001 Kenmore Refrigerator sxs

A:

 Hi,

Thanks for contacting  ManageMyLife.  I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your appliance.

I need to ask how long it cools before stopping.  I ask this because it sounds like a defrost heater or defrost timer problem.  The problem is likely to be the defrost terminator.  If it has gone faulty, the heater will not have the time to melt the ice on the evaporator coil in the freezer section.  The coil is behind the rear wall panel.

You should find on the defrost timer a screwdriver slot in the middle of the timer.  You can use that to advance the timer into defrost and check the defrost terminator and the heater.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help.

Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.

Q:

How to replace water inlet line on my Kenmore Refrigerator ?

A:

I can appreciate your need for this water inlet valve information.  I have located a link that will discuss your situation in more detail.
Click here to view the link.  Though this link discusses a different model number,
the mechanics are likely going to be very similar.  Keep in mind that an expert will be
responding within the next two business days if not sooner and will likely offer you more information and
instruction on your specific model.  I hope this helps and have a nice day.

I can understand how important it is to have the right information for your refrigerator. On this model the water line between the inlet valve and the filter can be replaced. This is connected with nut sleeve fittings. To remove this you will need a wrench to break them loose. The unscrew them from the valve. The new water line will use the same fittings to put it on. As for the "Y"connection, this is not a part that you can order individually. If you need to replace this, then normally you would need to replace the valve as well. What I would suggest that you do is to remove the connection and take it to your local hardware store. Try to find the closest one that you can. You may also want to take one of the net sleeve fittings with you to make sure it is going to fit. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
