Question and Answers

Q:

noisy dryer DLE5932W Lg Dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your dryer. Upon researching model DLE5932W: Foreign objects like pens, coins, screws and bra wires can make squeaking, scraping, knocking or rumbling noises when they make contact with the drum or basket as it rotates. If these noises are heard during the cycle, stop the unit and search for and remove any foreign objects. It is possible for some objects to get between the drum and may not be removable. This would require service.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.

Here is the model # & serial # of my washer & dryer: Washer Model #: WM2487HWM Washer Serial #: 706KWXD01002 Dryer Model #: DLE7177WM Dryer Serial #: 705KWTA06649 The adapter is sold by Sears Parts Direct and is not returnable. The part # is: AAA30793428. The Sears salesperson where I purchased the LG WDP4W pedestals is telling me I don't need these adpaters, but I don't want to find out in the middle of installing them that this salesperson was wrong. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for submitting your question. The pedestal that goes to your washer and dryer is model number WDP3W on the LG web site and item number 02651022000 on our Sears.com web site. It's the same item. Here is the pedestal installation manual . It appears that the pedestals will come with their own hardware and the adaptor is not needed after reading through the installation guide. I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing Manage My Life.

I don't understand. The product that you mentioned above (02651022000) is a Kenmore correct? There is apparently an issue based on the age of my washer 2007 and earlier, which require the WDP3W. However, the salesman at the outlet store that is selling the WDP4W for a great price is telling me that I can use this newer model pedestal without an adapter whereas LG is telling me that I do need the adapter. Who is right?

What I need to know is whether I need an adapter to attach the WDP4W pedestal to my washer (Washer Model #: WM2487HWM Washer Serial #: 706KWXD01002). Please help me verify this so that when I get ready to install the WDP4W pedestals, I have the right adapter on hand. Thanks!

When looking at your product information for your washer the WDP3W and WDP4W is what was listed for the pedestal. I just gave you the first one because both will work. The instructions for the WDP3W states all the hard will come with the pedestal for installation and the adapter kit is not listed as being needed. This however is LG's product, so I would go off the information LG is providing you because they are the manufacture.

Hello Fellow LG Buyers. I understand your aggravation and frustration. I have an LG DLG5932W (DRYER) AND A WM2032HW (WASHER) that I purchased in 2004. I finally decided to purchase the pedestals for them and was very excited when I got them. Then when my husband and I tried to connect the W/D to the pedestals, we realized the white connectors cannot be used to hold our W/D in place because the W/D doesn't have the holes underneath where the white connectors are supposed to slide into. After painstakingly searching the web, I finally found the answer for us. I am adding a picture of the Adaptor Kit you will need in order to hold your W/D in place to the WDP4 pedestals. I've seen the price on line for about $5.99. I am also providing a link to an LG Manual I found that will show you how the ADAPTOR KIT AAA30793428 should be attached to your W/D and pedestals. I hope the link works and I HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL !

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I must assume the display will power up and you can program it but it will not start.

If the dryer will not start, it could have a broken drum belt or the belt came off. This model has belt switch and if the belt comes off the motor or breaks, the dryer will not start. The first thing to check is to see if the belt is still intact and is routed around the motor pulley. I added an image below showing how to access the drum belt. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

If the belt is Okay and not broken or has come off, then it could have faulty electronic control board and I strongly suggest calling a service technician with the experience and knowledge to properly diagnose and repair your LG dryer.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
