That is not a common problem with your model of Kenmore dishwasher. Here are some tips that may help you with this problem:

  1. Make sure that the upper rack is pushed all of the way in so that the upper spray arm docks properly in that back manifold.
  2. Check the upper spray arm for cracks or splits.
  3. Check the spray holes on that upper spray arm for clogs or deposits.
  4. Make sure that the upper spray arm rotates properly.
  5. Check the back manifold for damage.
  6. Make sure that the dishwasher is filling properly with the correct amount of water.
