Question and Answers

Q:

Dishwasher has all 3 indicator lights flashing (washing, drying, clean) 587.16242700

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Dishwasher, Model: 587.16242700. From reviewing the details on your model, it appears that blinking lights indicates that the dishwasher has been reset and is in the process of turning off. This light will continue to blink for a time period between 75 to 90 seconds depending on the model. Since it was the first time the dishwasher was turned on most likely that was the cause of all three lights blinking.

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com, and have yourself a wonderful day.

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more than happy to assist you.  I can understand any frustration you may have experienced with regards to your unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

I'm looking at the information on this Kenmore dishwasher, and I’m showing that on most dishwashers when this happens it’s a faulty heater. I would recommend replacing that heater at the bottom of the dishwasher. The part number for the correct heater is 154665201.

Hope this information has helped you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can click here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. Again, thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com.
