Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

An Ohm meter will be needed to check the heating element and high limit thermostat for continuity.

The heating element and the high limit thermostat will need to be disconnected and tested for continuity with an Ohm meter in order to diagnose which one may have failed. There is no "fuse" in heating circuit.

If the heating element and the high limit thermostat measure continuity, then it could have a faulty control board or loose or burnt wire connection in the heating element circuit. The thermistor would not prevent the heater from coming on. The thermistor is used to advance the cycle after the water reaches approximately 140 degrees.

NOTE: Disconnect the power supply from the dishwasher before removing the lower access panel and disconnecting the heating element and high limit thermostat. The high limit is connected in series with the heating element.

Check the things I have covered here and if I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your dishwasher. I would suspect the circulation pump. The motor has a thermal protection that will turn it off if the motor is jammed. The motor may be jammed with debris. I'm not sure how far you would like to go but I'm including a picture to help you if you want to check for debris yourself.

1. To remove lower spray arm, pull out on retaining clips and lift up.

2. To remove glass trap screen, lift up and raise trap up and out of sump.

From here you can check for any debris. If you do not see anything then it is possible the circulation motor needs to be replaced. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

58715193402. Cycle completes, clean light stays on. Can't get diswasher to start new cycle until I open & reshut the breaker. I assume its the Control Module?

A:

This will be a door switch problem. Resetting the breaker is doing the same thing as the switch if it was working. The door latch assembly # 154556703 will need to be replaced. It's available at SearsPartsDirect . If you need more assistance, please resubmit your question, with additional details.
