Q:

dishwasher leaks from under front left door.... 58715182402

A:

Sears Parts also sold me part# 154576501 but then said I likely wouldn't need it because the door seal would fix the problem. I'm not entirely sure how to even replace part# 154576501 if that may make a difference....

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details I must assume it could have a heating element failure, faulty thermistor, high limit thermostat, faulty electronic control board or possibly a loose or disconnected wire in the heater circuit or in temperature sensing circuit.

The heating element must come on and heat the water to a certain degree in the second rinse cycle, second wash cycle, fourth and fifth rinse cycles and then in the dry cycle. If the heater is not working, it will not heat up the water to one of the target temperatures of 140 degrees, 145 degrees or 155 degrees. If Temp Boost is selected it must reach 145 degrees and if Sanitize is selected it must reach 155 degrees otherwise it must reach 140. If it does not reach these temps, it will not advance through the cycles and into dry. If the hot water cools down too much between fill cycles, it will cause the dishwasher to run long periods.

I recommend just letting the dishwasher run and see what happens. Check the water temperature entering the dishwasher. It must be minimum of 120 degrees. It also helps to run the hot water at the faucet and let it get has hot as possible before starting the dishwasher.

I added a couple of images below a service technician would use help diagnose the problem. I strongly suggest calling a service technician to properly diagnose and repair your dishwasher.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
