Question and Answers

Q:

Wash Cycle

A:

I understand that you want to know how long a cycle is on your dishwasher. While you are waiting on an experts response I was able to locate a copy of your owners manual, which should have some information on how long the cycles should run. I hope this is helpful. Have a great day!

The first wash cycle is normally only 6 minutes but this time varies depending on how hot the water is. This dishwasher will heat the wash and rinse water to approximately 135 degrees or hotter depending upon if High Temp wash/rinse is not selected. The wash time will vary from cycle to cycle depending upon the incomming water temperature. Depending on the water temperature I suspect the first washer cycle might last 20-25 minutes or so.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. I had already looked at video, but totally different setup on mine. I am sure the parts just "click" together as they were very easy to take apart (no screws, bolts, etc). Thanks again for the suggestion.

The filter may have a tab that needs to be lined up to lock it into place.

The images below may help you with this problem.

Let me know if they don't.

Q:

Why is my Kenmore dishwasher not filling with water?

A:

If the float #25 is not stuck up & the float switch #28 is closed & you have confirmed the water supply is good, we will need to check the voltage at the water valve to determine what the problem is. If you get 120 volts at the valve, it is defective & will need to be replaced. Please see the images provided for more information. Other possibilities; timer, float switch or wiring harness problems.
