A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your dishwasher.  Upon researching model 58715142403; based on the information provided it sounds like the drain pump on your dishwasher is bad and may need to be replaced. There are no parts of the pump sold separately, so when the pump goes bad it has to be completely replaced. I have posted a link below o the drain pump key# 60.

Q:

Dishwasher leaks water several minutes after cycle completes 58715142403 Kenmore Dishwasher

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
Sorry to hear of the leak coming from the dishwasher after the cycle, I know how frustrating that is to have occur.
After the next cycle, I would recommend pulling the dishwasher out and inspect the underside to see where the water is emanating from. This would be best done right after the cycle, so the trace water droplets/leakage can be sourced.
I suspect the leakage is either coming from the motor/pump connection or the sump gasket. The only way to know for sure would be to inspect it right after the next wash. There is also a connector hose on the pump that could be cracked and leaking.
Once the source has been identified, you can go onto SearsPartsDirect and view the parts list and diagrams to locate the right part.
For convenience, I have provided a blue link below that you may click on to be directed to the SearsParts site to view the 'Motor & Pump' schematic to see the orings, gasket, and hose that may be suspect.

Q:

Why did the dial get stuck in the middle of the quick rinse cycle on my Kenmore dishwasher?

A:

Since the timer advances after manually pushing it forward then the likely cause of this problem is your timer. A technician will normally need to diagnose and repair this type of problem.

If you want to try to repair this problem yourself without further diagnosis, you can replace the timer (part 154495901). You can order a replacement timer from the Sears PartsDirect website.

The procedure for replacing the timer is shown in the image below. Be sure that you shut off the breaker to the dishwasher to disconnect electrical power before accessing this internal component.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
