Question and Answers

Q:

not spining 58714439202 Kenmore Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would happy to help you with your dishwasher. Upon researching model 58714439202; the most common reason that the spray arms aren’t moving in a dishwasher is debris built up within the inside of the spray arm. Remove the lower rack of the dishwasher to freely access the spray arm. Turn it by hand, and if it doesn’t move freely, you will need to unscrew any hardware mounting the arm in place. After it's removed, clean out any debris that has wrapped around the mounting area for the arm. This is usually food particles, and other general buildup. You can clean it out with a toothbrush or a screwdriver.

I trust that this information will help you, thank you have a great day.

If it was working when you moved it then the thing I suggest you check first is the float. It's a silly thing that often gets overlooked. If the float was bounced out of the standpipe then the dishwasher wouldn't fill.

If not the float/standpipe then the timer or valve just broke during the move. The valve can be checked for continuity with a meter but the timer would have to be checked for voltage on the pink wire.

Use extreme caution checking voltage but if the valve has 120 volts on the pink and white wire with no water fill then the valve is bad.

Cabins also often have exposed pipes. Are frozen pipes a possibility?

I hope this helps but reply with any additional details for further assistance.
