I know it can be frustrating when a tool that we are depending on to get the job done is acting up. The Managemylife web site is a good resource to find out what may be happening with your Pressure Washer. I did some research for you at Managemylife.com and found an excellent article that also has multiple expert answers at the bottom of the web page that addresses the most common questions that have been asked by other members. I hope this will help until your expert can answer your specific question. I attached the link below.

I don't show a fitting between the 2. I show that the high pressure hose will screw directly into the pump on the pressure washer.

Q:

pump 580761800 Craftsman Power washer

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you're having with the pressure washer. I know how frustrating it is to have happen.

When you mention "prime", I am not entirely sure what you mean. I presume you are referring to the output pressure. If that's the case, the unloader valve may be sticking on the pump, which is causing the pressure to surge. That is a common symptom of a failing or sticking unloader.

You can disassemble it and clean it, but it will usually call for a replacement. The part number for the unloader is B1669GS. I have linked it below so that you may view the kit and the contents.

Q:

power washwe runs good and starts good as long as I have the triger on the gun on 580761800 Craftsman Power washer

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Sorry to hear of the issue you're having with the pressure washer when you release the trigger, I know how frustrating issues like this are to have occur.

The unloader valve is most likely the cause of your issue. When you release the wand trigger there is no longer anywhere for the pressure of the pump to go to and the pressure inside the pump builds rapidly. At that stage the unloader releases to cycle the pump pressure away.

If the unloader were to stick in the closed position rather than open the pressure build up could quickly lead to a hose or even a pump housing failure so the issue should be addressed before you use the unit again.

You can try cleaning the unloader before replacing it. There are some great YouTube videos you can watch on how to clean, and if necessary, replace it.

Hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.
