Q:

changed the chemical injecter on my powerwasher model #580752820 (craftsman)still won't work on low pressure

A:

If you have another wand you can try on the pressure washer, do that. I've run across a few of these where the nozzle just wasn't producing low enough pressure for the chemical injection to work. If the problem remains with another wand then it may be a problem with the unloader assembly.

Q:

how to install thermal reliet valve on Craftsman Pressure Washer?

A:

When replacing a major part on an appliance I know how useful a parts list diagram can be. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I did manage to find a link in where you can enter your appliance model number and a parts list diagram will pop up to guide you in replacing your appliance part. I hope my link is useful.

Thank you for your question and the pictures.

I am sorry you are having a problem with pressure washer. To replace the thermal relief you will need to use a wrench to remove what is left of the old thermal relief. It should just unscrew out of the pump. Then thread the new thermal relief into the pump and tighten. To avoid the opening of the thermal relief do not let the pressure washer run for long periods of time without spraying. When the water is not being sprayed, the pump heats up and opens the thermal relief to prevent over heating and damage to the pump.

I hope this is helpful.

A:

Nick,

The black cap fits on to the end of the thermal relief the direct the water out the side of the pressure washer. I recommend pointing it in a direction you do not stand in so you are not sprayed if the pump over heats.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
