Question and Answers

Q:

Water leaking between pump and crankcase on pressure washer 580751650

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help you. Upon researching model 580751650 I do see there is o-rings that go on the bolts. It is going to be best to replace them. After usage the o-rings can compress and even a little can make a difference being that this unit uses water.

If you have any further questions please re-post. Thank you for choosing Sears. Have a great day.

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you. Removing the pump on this model is a little harder than most. The pump is bolted to the engine from inside the pump. To remove the pump you have to take the bolts out that secure the two halves together. You should see two longer bolts in the housing. Do not remove these bolts yet. Just remove the shorter ones. Then loosen the longer bolts equally. The reason is the pump has springs inside that are compressed. If you remove one bolt all the way, you run the risk of breaking the housing. Once you have the two longer bolts removed, the back half of the pump housing should come off. Just make sure you watch because some parts of the drive will fall out. After that is removed, slide the engine adapter off the crankshaft. Now you can remove the four 5/16 bolts securing the front part of the housing to the engine.
