I don't think this will help, but let's give it a try just the same. Plug a corded drill into the generator's 110VAC outlet. Start the generator and set the drill as if to run it in reverse. Hold down the trigger and turn the chuck by hand to the right (as if drilling a hole). If the magnetism was lost on the rotor then after a few turns of the drill, the generator will pick up and the drill will start to run on it's own (via power from the generator).

If this does not work then I suspect there is a problem with the voltage regulator or stator assembly. For those, you may need to send the generator in for service as it's a somewhat complicated repair.
