Hello John,

I would like to assist you with your DLP Projector TV. If the dots are stationary, and are steadily increasing in number, it is definitely a DLP chip failure. The issue that arises is that the common way that this is serviced is by a complete light engine replacement. The light engines are not available currently. I suggest calling 800-469-4663 to arrange a service call with a Sears service technician. The potential for the chip replacement exists, but it is not a user serviceable item.

Please let me know if you would like any further service.
