Question and Answers

Q:

removing an old over range kenmore microwave 5648668410 Kenmore Kenmore micro/convection oven

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your microwave. Upon researching model5648668410; I don't have the installation guide available for this older Kenmore microwave. That document will usually help you determine how to remove the microwave. The normal procedure for removing a microwave includes these steps:

Unplug the microwave from the outlet.

Open the cabinet above the microwave. You should see bolts that secure the microwave the bottom of this cabinet. Have a person support the microwave from below while you remove these bolts.

Once the bolts are removed, you should be able to tilt the front of the microwave down and lift it off of the mounting bracket on the back wall.

You may need to disconnect the vent duct if the microwave is vented to the outside of your home.

These general tips should help you remove the microwave

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.

Q:

i have a kenmore convec/micro oven; i had asked about cleaning it as soap and water doesnt work.secondly;can i touch stop to check on cooking in middle of cycl

A:

We do not have the Owner's manual nor can I locate one. You should be able to just open the door while it's running and it should stop and then check or stir your food and then shut the door and press start. It will resume counting down and cooking. You could try Bar Keepers Friend in a small area to see if will clean your stainless steel oven cavity. Try cleaning spills a splatters immediately after use with soap and water and it would normally remove any food splatters are spills.
