Q:

Can I clean the grease from the exhaust fan on my Kenmore microwave model 5648598510?

A:

I don’t recommend cleaning the fan blades with any kind of solution. Any liquid could leak down into the microwave cavity and cause severe problems.

It is normal for the grease to build up on the fan blades and will not cause any problems itself. Trying to clean the grease off may cause additional problems.

How do I remove my built-in Kenmore microwave?

A:

There should be 4 screws going down from your cabinet into the top of the microwave. After remove all 4 screws the unit should be free. The fan housing or the duct work may be binding up preventing the unit for dropping down. Please see the image provided.
