Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the condensation and top shelf freezing. I suspect the shelf is getting a thick layer of frost on it. If this is the case, along with the condensation, yes, if the gasket has a gap, it can cause this. However, unless it's torn, it should not need to be replaced. Usually a hair dryer can be used to heat the gasket and soften it enough, to smooth out the gap. Just be careful not to get it too hot and melt it. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Thank you for your question.

I have looked up the model number you have submitted. This freezer is a 7.5 cubic foot model. We do have a manual for this model. If you would like a copy please click here to download the manual. It is hard to put a value on used appliances. I recommend checking the classified section in your local paper to see what used freezers are going for. You can always list it for more than what you think it is worth and see what is offered. I have checked the cost on new freezers and we have a 6.9 cubic foot model for $247.00.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

That link for a previous answer that James R. provided in the above response may help you with this problem. If you detect no power at all in the refrigerator (no lights and not fan runs) then I recommend that you check the outlet first. Plug a small lamp or appliance into the outlet that you are using for the refrigerator to make sure that it is working.

If the outlet works, you could have a problem with the power cord.

If the refrigerator runs but does not cool, you could have a bad compressor or you could have a hole in the sealed system.

This type of compact refrigerator is rarely worth repairing unless the sealed system is working and you can find the cause of the problem on your own. If the unit is running but you see no frost pattern on the evaporator, then the sealed system is not working.

Reply with additional details if you need more assistance.
