It sounds like the engine broke a rod or some other major internal failure.

I don't think you should order any parts for the engine. If the rod is broken and you have maintained the snowthrower properly, the protection agreement will probably pay for a new snowthrower for you.

I suggest you rent or borrow a snowthrower for 3-4 weeks until a technician can diagnose the snowthrower.
