I do not see that the chain tension can be adjusted on this model. It may be that the chain has stretched out with age if it's the original chain on the machine. It could also be the sprocket shaft bearings worn down and allowing play there that would create slack in the chain.

Let me know what you find and we can proceed as necessary to get the machine back up and running correctly.

Im having a issue where my chain master link pops due to to much sway in the axle. is there a bushing or spacer that prevents this excessive movement of th eaxle otherwise the wheels will turn but i acant take a corner with out the cahin popping off! craftman 12 hrse snow blower about 8 years old but not much hours on it this started the second year running it and progressivley got worse until last year the chain master link popped how can i fix this? flange bearing?
