Question and Answers

Q:

part no longer avilable 536885910 Craftsman Snow thrower

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Craftsman Snow Thrower model 536885910. I am so sorry there is not a replacement part for the chute crank which is no longer made.

In this situation you still have a couple of options. You may be able to locate a used part online. Please be aware that when you buy a used part, you wont know the condition of the part until you receive it. The other option is to see if a machine shop in your local area can make a chute crank for you.

I hope these suggestions help. If you need further assistance, please resubmit your question with additional details. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Q:

After operating the SB for a period of time, the gears start slipping 536885910 Craftsman Snow thrower

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. I regret to hear that you are having issues with your snowblower and do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number 536885910. From what you are describing it seems like the oil maybe low. A indication of slipping gears is low fluid. If the fluid level is good you may have a damaged gear in the gearcase. The entire gearcase is not available but most of the parts for it are. I have included a link for the diagram and parts list.

If you have further questions please let me know.
Thanks for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com
