Question and Answers

Q:

snowblower stalls when traction is engaged 536.885410

A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would be happy to help you with your snow blower. Upon researching model 536.885410; it sounds like you may need to replace the carburetor. If the snow blower won't start, the carburetor might be clogged. If old fuel was left in the snow blower for a long time some of the ingredients may have evaporated, leaving a thicker product that is more like varnish. This thicker fuel can clog up the small jets and pass ways in the carburetor and it can be hard to burn making it hard to start the engine. We highly recommend replacing a carburetor when it goes bad instead of rebuilding it, since there are some small areas in the carburetor that can be very difficult to reach and clean inside the carburetor. I have posted a link below of the carburetor key#300.

I trust that this information will help you, thank you have a great day.

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there are parts needed for the snow blower.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Craftsman model number 536.885410.  One of the older ones built before 1987.

I truly apologize but I checked my main store inventory and I checked my research department.   There just isn't any in stock that I can find.   Also sorry to say but there isn't any other model that will have one to take its place.

If you have further questions please let me know.
