Q:

how do i check the oil? 536884670 Craftsman Snow thrower

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

This unit appears to be a 2-cycle, and the oil is mixed into the gasoline. The owner's manual discusses this on page 10. You would mix 3.2 oz. of 2-cycle oil to every 1 gallon of gasoline to make a 40:1 mixture.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

Does my snow thrower have a fuel cut off valve, shut off valve? Thanks steve 536884670 Craftsman Snow thrower

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

Based upon snow thrower model 536.884670, I see it uses a Tecumseh engine with a model of 143.955071. Based upon the Tecumseh engine, I do not see a fuel shutoff solenoid being used. Most smaller engines won't use a solenoid of that kind. Tractors mainly use a shutoff valve, and smaller engines use a fuel petcock. I don't see a petcock on this engine either.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.
