Q:

Air filter assembly 536883400 Craftsman Craftsman 20 inch - 3 h.p. snow thrower

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Snowthrowers don't use air filters because if they get wet, the engine would bog down and wouldn't be able to breath properly. Also, in the winter months, there isn't as many dust particles we would have to be concerned with in the air. So air filters are needed with the snowthrowers and aren't used.

Let me know if you have any further questions and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Q:

Sir, I have a model 536-883400, 5337 code snow thrower. Does part number 583459ma have a hole thru it for the auger pulley?

A:

Part number 583459ma has a hole in it for the auger shaft to go through. The auger pulley goes outside the plate and bearing. The auger pulley drive does fit on after the bearing is installed.

We don't have the thread configuration for the auger drive pulley. Look at the rotation the pulley is driven when it is turning the auger. The pulley will turn the opposite rotation to unscrew.
