Q:

Removing input pulley from Auger Shaft 536881951 Craftsman Snow thrower

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

To remove the auger pulley on this model you have to loosen the bolts on the backside of the pulley. There should be two bolts that are threaded into the collar of the pulley. Use a 1/2 inch socket on an extension to reach the bolts. Once the bolts are loosened, you should be able to pull the pulley off. If the pulley will not budge, you can soak it with WD-40 or Penetrating Oil and let it sit for a while. If that does not do the trick, you might have to use a two-jaw puller to remove the pulley.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about a replacement engine for your Craftsman snow thrower model 536881951. I am so sorry the engine is shot. I will be happy to help you with this.

Your snow thrower has a Briggs and Stratton engine model 20A114-0363-E1. I have located the replacement engine for that model. It is 20P414-0015-E1.This part is too large for us to ship directly to your home. We will need to ship it to the closest Sears Parts and Service Center to you for pick up. For this reason, you will need to contact the service center closest to you to find out the cost of the engine with shipping and your local tax, if applicable. I have included the link below for our store locator link. Please use it to find and contact the local service center.
