Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your questions about your television. I am so sorry the picture has gone out. I know the TV is a key component in our daily lives and know you want to get it working quickly. In this case I recommend you have this tested and repaired by a qualified technician. Internal components of the TV can retain dangerous high electrical charges even when the TV is disconnected from the power supply.

Here at SearsPartsDirect.com, we love to help you with your home repairs but in this case, for your safety, we recommend you have the TV serviced. If you would like a Sears technician to complete the repair, you can set up service at www.SearsHomeServices.com or by calling 1-800-469-4663.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter. I hope we can help you with any future repairs. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Hello,

I am sorry to hear that you are having a line appear on your television and I would like to assist you. A line like the one that is described is usually indicative of a failing connection within the panel and needs to be looked at by a technician. If it is indeed the panel, replacement is going to be the only way to remedy this issue. The possibility that this is due to a bad connection of another serviceable connection does exist. If you would like to have a technician come and service it, follow this link: Sears Home Services.

You mentioned that it has been serviced yearly, do you happen to have a Protection Agreement on it? If so, simply set up a service call and this will be taken care of. Lines and bars that are vertical and horizontal are issues that all flat panel types of televisions are susceptible to developing. A "known issue" is generally something that is referred to as an issue that happens to a specific model or type.

Please let me know if you would like any further assistance.
