A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your LG television model52LG50. I am so sorry the color red has been lost. I know the TV is a key part of our daily lives and know you want to get it fixed quickly. In this case, I recommend you have the TV repaired by a qualified technician.

We do not give repair advice on televisions because internal components in the TV can retain a dangerously high electrical charge, even when the TV is disconnected from the power supply. Here at SearsPartsDirect.com we love to help you with your home repairs but in this case, for your safety, we recommend you have the TV serviced. To set up service go to www.SearsHomeServices.com or call 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME).

Thank you for your understanding in this matter. I hope we can help you with any future repairs. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Hello Paul,

Note: Working on a TV can be difficult and dangerous due to the high voltage circuits inside. Always remember to unplug any TV before trying to service it and if unsure of the proper procedures, seek the service of a trained professional.

I'm sorry to hear that your television is cycling the power on and off and I would like to assist you. It is a good indicator that there is an issue with the sensor board, since the prior service performed on it caused a difference in performance. One thing that I would suggest is to check the wires that connect the board to the main control board very carefully for pinches and shorts. I have ran into this on quite a few occasions and there are times when a wire inadvertently gets pinched and can cause these symptoms. If it appears to be intact, I would suggest replacing the sensor board, but I like to also replace the keypad too, just in case, it is cheap insurance.

Please let me know what you find, I look forward to assisting you further.

Well, after I changed the front pcb and Keypad my T.V. powered up great. Only to start cycling again about 10 days later. Using a flash-light I can easly see the wire harness. So with a short probe I gently moved the wire harness near the connector on the pcb board. And of course the T.V. worked great for another few days. So now I need to replace the wire harness. However I can't seem to find a list or diagram of wiring harnesses. The harness connects the pcb board and the main assembly (mother board). I would love to put this project behind me so any help will be appreciated.

Hello Paul,

Most of the models in that line include the harness that you are looking for with the control PCB only, however, not all. It sounds like you have replaced your PCB with a new one and it did not come with the harness. I have sent an email to the manufacturer and should get a reply very soon, I'll post the part number on this thread as soon as I get an answer.
