I have new oil fied Burnham oil burner ( Model KV84 low presser boiler) and new Boch 50 gal water heater ( model 51BE) installed 2 years ago. Heat system was functioning well since last two years without noise. I dod regular yearly maintaininace on both boiler and water heater. not sure what happened, since last 2 months I am getting noise like hot water flowing in pipe type of noise when heat turns on. when heat is complete on ( thermostat is at around 70) we do not get any water flowing in pipe type of noise. If any has any suggestions on such type off of issue , appreciate if any on on this forum could provide tips on what this noise is , cause of noise and how to ger rid of noise. I searched on Internate & it seems that noise could be due to air bubble in heating pipe and should go away by openeing hot water tap ( I did this for some time but that did not helped) . I need correct answer to get rid of this noise. pl help Thanks

Thank you for your question.

Having noise in your heating pipes can be annoying.

Your research is correct, it is air trapped in the pipes. This is a natural occurrence with the air coming out of the water.

  • The system will need to be bled. Since this is a hot water boiler system I would suggest that you have a Heating Hydronic specialist technician bleed the air from the system for you and then however your system was put together you can watch to see how he does it and will be able to safely do it yourself the next time.

A hydronic hot water heating system is not something you want to work on yourself.

  • It is very easy to get burned or unbalance the system to a dangerous point.

I do not want you to get hurt.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
