I can understand wanting to have the band saw tracking properly.

There should be a tracking adjustment for the band and if that is not keep the band aligned then there may be some wear in the bearings that is causing it to not track.

The model number of 97724 is a Porter Cable model with variable speed.

The motor on the compressor will draw around 15 amps (1725 watts) when running normally. The starting amp load of this type motor is around 3 times the running amps (5175 watts). The starting wattage is only drawn for 1-2 seconds as the motor starts.

The check valve in the tank allows the motor to start without a load, so these amps and wattages will be pretty constant.

I suggest an inverter that will put out 5000- 6000 watts to be sure you have enough power to not damage the inverter or the compressor.
