Q:

Won't Close Without Holding button until all the way shut 13953976SRT Craftsman Garage door opener

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
I am sorry to hear of the issue you are having with the garage door opener, I know how frustrating that is to have occur.

This indicates that there is a problem with the safety sensors. By holding down the pad you are over riding the safety sensors.
Look at the sensors, there should be a green light on each sensor. If not, one of them has probably been bumped or kicked, there is a wiring issue, or they are defective. They should both be green. Just eye them up to look at each other until the lights both come on strong and steady. Two people work the best here. If that fixes it you should be able to shut the door normally. If not check the wiring, it might of gotten cut or snagged. It can be replaced if need be. Pay attention to the color striping on the wires though. If the issue continues, you can buy replacement sensors in pairs at SearsPartsDirect.com.
You'll have to replace the whole sensor as that is the only way it is offered from the manufacturer. The part number for the sensors are 41A5034.
If by chance you need to replace the safety sensors, I have provided a blue link below that you may click on to be directed to the SearsParts site to view and purchase the sensor kit.

Q:

Garage door opener is not functioning. 13953964SRT Craftsman Garage door opener

A:

Thank you for submitting your question. I understand your concern and I will be happy to assist you. If the LED light is flashing five times, this indicates a safety sensor (41A5034) issue. The safety sensors may not be aligned or are being blocked. First, make sure nothing is between the sensors at the bottom of the door rails. If the area is clear, look at the light on each sensor. The light should be on. If both of them are not on, you can try adjusting them. If one light is on and you cannot get the other light to come on the problem could be a defective sensor, wiring, or a defective logic board. More than likely it's the sensor. You can order parts from our Sears Parts Direct web site. I hope this helps. Please reply back to this thread if you require further assistance. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
