A:

You will have to remove the left side of the transaxle housing and remove all the gears to replace part number 778024.

This is a pretty major job. Be sure to take pictures of the gears so you know how to install them when you are through.

Clean and inspect each gear and shaft for wear or damage. Clean the inside of the housing to remove shavings and debris while you have the transaxle apart.

The parts diagram at Parts Direct will give some information of how the gears are positioned inside the transaxle.
