Q:

A:

Thank you for contacting Sears. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore refrigerator.

I can understand the frustration of your refrigerator not functioning properly, after researching model number 795.71603010. the glass for the crisper is no longer provided by the manufacturer.  I would suggest to take part number 4890jj1007y and search the internet to see if anyone still has it available or a used part.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business, have a great day.

Q:

Electrical connection problems

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom, it sounds like the range is not connected to the power supply correctly. What the electrician needs to do first is to find out which two wires is the line one (L1) and the line two (L2) voltage supply and which wires is ground and Neutral. Line one will connect to red and line two will connect to black. Follow the instructions on page 3 and 4 once line one and line two has been identified.

I added a link to the Installation Instructions  and if the electrician cannot figure out how to properly connect the oven, I suggest getting another electrician. Look over page 3 and 4 for the wiring instructions.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Hi Joey, thanks for the quick reply. I am not to sure what you mean by finding the line one and line 2 wires? is it possible the black and red wires are backwards in the panel? I have a 4 wire cable running to the oven and we have wired it the same as page 3 and have also wired it the same as page 4 with no difference in the outcome. Thank you Eric

A:

Eric: The oven requires two different lines of voltage which must measure 220 volts when measuring across the L1 and L2 voltage supply lines. You must first confirm which of two wires measure 220 when measuring across the two wires. This is normally where the black and red wires will connect. One red wire will connect the L1 and the black connects to L2. Since it's tripping the breaker as soon as the breakers are turned on, it sounds like one of the voltage supply wires (L1 or L2) is connected to ground or neutral. Your electrician should know this.

Q:

Probe icon will not turn off with Kenmore Elite wall oven.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

If the wall oven is less than 1 year old and based on you saying it's "brand new", you will need to call and set up a service appointment.

The control thinks you have the meat probe installed. The meat probe jack could be open causing the issue. Try inserting the meat probe in and out a few times in the jack and then see if the probe icon turns off. If it doesn't, then you will need to call and have the issue diagnosed and repaired.

You can have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.
