I know that it can be very frustrating to have issue with your TV. From what you are describing it sounds like the receiver on the TV is malfunctioning and needs to be replace. However, TV repair is very complicated and is not something that you can do yourself. This repair will require that you take it apart, and there are very sensitive and expensive parts inside that you can easily damage. I would suggest that you schedule service for the repair. If you would like to do so, please click on the link to schedule service: Sears Home Services. Click on "Get Started" and follow the directions, click on the red "NEXT" button to continue. I hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help. Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.

the front power control board gets the signal from the remote and sends it to the main board. part # EBR42597903 at a cost of $23.90 plus shipping. the main board could also cause this issue but is no longer available for purchase. the remote could cause this issue but since the cable co. remote does the same thing I would not suspect it is the remote. you can just get a new TV or you can toss the 23.90 plus shipping at it and if it does not resolve the issue toss the TV into the trash and get a new one because the main board is no longer available. that front power board has a wiring harness that just plugs into it no soldering or nothing very easy to replace and should be the cause of your problem..

if you try the front control board take a close look at the small wiring harness to the front board and make sure it is not pinched in the frame or panel. I have seen this before the wiring harness pinched and after time will rub the insulation from the wires or cut the wires or grounds them out and can cause the control board to not function properly. I would check that before ordering the front board.
