That F1 indicates that you have a failed transistor on the electronic control board in that control panel. If that electronic control board is available as a replacement part, then you can order it from the Sears PartsDirect.com website. You can check for the availability of that part through this page: Kenmore Range Model 911.4742 . . . Parts . There appears to be 6 models that begin with 911.4742 . . . Use the full model number of your range to order that control board if it is available. If it is not available, you may be able to shut off the breaker for the oven and remove that control board. Find the part number on the electronic control board and contact this company to see if they can repair it for you: Core Centric Solutions . That link has contact information.

To access that control board, you may be able to release the control panel by opening the oven door and removing the screws underneath that panel (with the house circuit breaker shut off ). If you cannot release the console and access the control board in that manner, then you will need to pull the oven out of the cabinet and remove the top panel (with the circuit breaker shut off ).

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
