Thank you for your question on how to replace the roller brush drive belt.

Without the model number I will only be able to give you some general information because of the different styles of Kenmore upright vacuum cleaners.

You will need to either remove the top cover on the nozzle assembly or flip it over to remove from 2 to 8 screws depending on the style to remove the top cover to get to the motor and drive belt for the roller brush.

If you will reply with the model number I can be more specific with my answer.

Thank you for the model number of the Hoover vacuum cleaner. Turn the vacuum cleaner over and remove the bottom plate of the vacuum. This will expose the roller agitator brush and the drive belt. Lift out the agitator and remove the old belt and then install the new belt around the motor shaft and then around the where the belt rides on the agitator. Then stretch the belt and putting the opposite end of the agitator into the housing and then stretch the belt by pulling and then slide the agitator into its location in the housing. Spin the agitator by hand a couple of rotations to make it are aligned properly before you put the lower cover back on the vacuum. I have given you a generic video I found on line on how to change a belt similar to your model. I hope this will help you. Sam A.

Q:

Why is the freezer cooling but the fresh food section isn't?

A:

I understand that your refrigerator is not cooling, which can be quite disappointing since it is what keeps your foods, nice and fresh. While you are waiting on your response from an expert I was able to locate a couple of excellent links, which I believe will be very helpful. Have a great day!

Thank you for submitting your question. The reason this type of problem occurs is related to the air flow. The air flow from the freezer to the fresh food section is being restriction or reduced some how. The main cause for this is the control damper part number 67003903 priced at $44.61. The motor in the damper can stall or lock up. When this happens, the damper will need to be replaced. You can order parts from our Sears Parts Direct team. Its also possible the board or sensor could be causing the damper to stay closed but the damper is usually the problem. If you need more assistance, please reply back to this thread with more details. I hope this helps. Thank you for choosing Manage My Life.

Thank you for your question on how to remove the bottom of the vacuum to replace the belt.

I am having problem finding the owner's manual for this vacuum cleaner that would describe how to change the belt.

But if you do not any screws that would hold the bottom plate on it is just a plastic friction clips that is holding the base onto the body of the vacuum.

Look at the very back of the of the channel on the base where it is longer on one side than the other and you may have to use a small flat bladed screw driver to release a hidden friction clip to remove the base. The base should just pop off the nozzle housing.

I hope this will help.
