Q:

Seer rating and tonage for my Kenmore A/C H4A436GKA100

A:

Congratulations on the purchase of your new home.

The model number of that Kenmore A/C unit indicates that it has a 14 SEER rating and 3 ton cooling capacity.

Here's a link for the owner's manual: Owner's Manual.

You may also want these manuals that provide additional information about that unit:

Installation Manual

Technical Manual.

The technical manual is intended for service technicians. Follow electrical safety guidelines and HVAC safety guidelines if you ever use that data. The installation manual contains information normally used by the installer. Follow electrical safety guidelines and HVAC safety guidelines if you ever use the installation manual data as well.

The last page of the technical manual has chart that shows the components of the model number that indicate that tonnage and SEER rating of the unit.

I hope that this information helps. If you need further assistance, let us know.

Q:

Auger Drive Belt. 917287220 Craftsman Tractor

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about the auger belt for your Craftsman snow blower attachment. I am so sorry you are having difficulty finding this part. I will be happy to help you with this.

Craftsman model numbers do not start with 436. We have Craftsman snow attachments that start with 486. If you change the three to an eight, the model should come right up. We do not keep information on the length of the belt. This is because we only recommend using the manufacturer’s original part. The belts made for our Craftsman products are made with Kevlar, which makes them much stronger than a generic belt. Using the wrong belt on your snow blower attachment may damage it.

I have located the auger belt and have included the link below for you to view and order the part.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

I was on the phone with your department speaking with a help person. He also said to change the 3 to an 8 but that is not the number on the snow auger. I went back into the garage and double checked the number and I also had my wife check the number. The number is definitely a 3 not an 8. (436-248381) . I also need the manual for this auger to make sure the belt is on right. The belt keeps falling off. I see no adjustment

A:

I'm sorry you are having this problem. The information you have received from Celene is good for a frosting condition in the freezer. This does appear to be a defrost problem. It could be due to the defrost timer, the heating element or the defrost thermostat. This model does not have a board. A good check of the defrost system will be to, manually advance the timer into a defrost cycle. The timer (# 257 in the picture) is located in the control housing (# 436). Turn the small timer knob slowly until it makes a loud click and the unit shuts off. It's now in a defrost cycle. Open the freezer door and after a few minutes, if you can hear a popping or hissing sound, it means the elements are on. In this case, it indicates the timer # WR9X489 is not advancing and will need to be replaced. If the element does not come on, both the elements # WR51X443 and the thermostat # WR50X122 will probably need to be replaced. These parts are available at SearsPartsDirect . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

I have this fridge model. Ice maker and water dispenser both work but occasionally, especially the water will get stuck on after finished dispensing. What part is likely to be the reason it gets stuck on. Typically pushing the glass back in against the lever a few times will stop it. Thanks
