Working on a TV can be difficult and dangerous due to the high voltage circuits inside. Always remember to unplug any TV before trying to service it and if unsure of the proper procedures, seek the service of a trained professional.

Hello Roger,

I believe that this question is a copy of question number 336079 and is copied below:

I'm sorry to hear that your television has lost image but still has audio and I would like to assist you.  I suggest attempting to bring up any type of menu to see if there is anything that is displayed.  If nothing can be seen, look through the little vents in the back of the television for signs of white light that is being produced by the backlights that are housed within the panel of the television.  If there is not any light being emitted from the very small holes in the back of the panel, attempt to view the panel from the front of the television in bright light, or with a flashlight.  You may be able to see a very dark image.  Depending on what you find, there are several possibilities.  If there is not light being generated by the lamps in the panel, this can be caused by either the power supply circuit board or the main board.  If there is a dark image that is visible, the likely cause would be the power supply.

I suggest having an experienced local television technician or following this link: Sears Home Services to schedule a Sears Television Technician to diagnose and repair the television.  There are a lot of things that can cause an issue like this, the main board and power supply work in conjunction with each other and a single failure on either may cause the image to disappear.  The testing that is required is extensive and should be performed by an experienced television technician only.

Please let me know if you would like any further assistance.
