Working on a TV can be difficult and dangerous due to the high voltage circuits inside. Always remember to unplug any TV before trying to service it and if unsure of the proper procedures, seek the service of a trained professional.

Hello Karrie,

I'm sorry to hear that your television has lost half of its image and I would like to assist you.  An issue like this should be looked at by a television technician and I suggest contacting a local television repair service or following this link: Sears Home Services, to arrange an appointment with a Sears Television Technician.  There is a circuit board that is attached to the panel (screen) and controls the image, it is usually split into two different halves and this part may be the cause of the issue.  However, it will require some extensive testing and I recommend have a television technician perform the diagnosis and repair.

Please let me know if you would like any further assistance.

The problem us most likely a board called the t-conn board, but could be the LCD panel assembly itself. The t-conn board would cost about $300 for the repair and if it is the LCD panel assembly then the repair would be over $900.
