Question and Answers

Q:

Part 5308001875 417.99160120 B24930996

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to see that the spring clip has been discontinued with no direct substitute. I know how frustrating that is.

Unfortunately, due to the age of the laundry center, the spring clip is no longer being produced and there is not a substitution offered. If it looks like a standard spring clip, you may be able to find one locally at a hardware store. That would be the best recommendation outside of running an online search for the part number. However, based upon the age, that may be hit or miss. I would try to match one up if possible.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

washer leaking 41799160120

A:

Hello, glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. We, at Sears, value your service.

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is problems with the leaking of the washer.

Glad to help out.  I’m looking at your Kenmore Washer model number 41799160120.

1.  Check the drain spout.   Make sure water can freely leave the washing machine and not be clogged up.

2.  Take off the pump hoses and se if they are clogged or loos connection.

3.  Great possibility the could be a bad pump not discharging the water freely as it should   The part number for the pump is 5303292169.  I would order the pump at Sears Parts Direct, 1-800-366-7278 because it will be cheaper and at this time you can ask for free shipping.

Please "RESUBMIT ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS IF THERE IS ANY OTHER PROBLEMS".

Thank you for your understanding in this matter and I hope we can help you with your future questions and repairs.  Thank you for choosing Sears and using our SearsPartsDirect.com.

Q:

I have a Kenmore Laundry Center Model# 41799160120 series91601. 120 VAC Unit. Dryer and Washer. Dryer is intermittent on heat.

A:

It's hard to determine what could be causing this intermittent problem with your dryer. I added a link below with technical information based on this model number. I also added a link for the parts diagram. An expert will respond with additional information.

Thanks Maestro. I have the diagram (parts) retrieved from that same link. I needed the wiring schematic if I could find one. I need to be able to check the timer switches and thermostats. Thanks again for the quick reply.

Hi,

Thank you for your question, and I would like to answer the question this way.
In looking for the diagram on the laundry center, you stated it was 120 volts. In looking at the parts diagram, it shows a heater element. This element in a residence dryer is 240 VAC. Is this a RV dryer that runs on 120 volts AC? I need to know as the diagrams I have also show 240 VAC. Please reply below so I will get the right diagrams for you. I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please include more details in a reply to this entry below.
Thank you for using Manage My Life.

A:

Thanks Bill. It is an apt model with the washer and dryer both running of 120vac. I know, I questioned it when looking at it when I purchased. It isn't used a whole lot but it doesn't want to be consistent with the dryer (heat portion). I need to identify if I could, the thermostats and switches so I could probably jump them out individually to determine which item is the culprit

I had to take a photo of the diagrams from a book to place them in the database. I hope you can read them. I blieve you are on the right track, the thermostats or fabric softner switch.

Thanks Mr Bill. That is what I needed and couldn't find. I will research what the fabric softner switch is used for in the system. I read something about it in the owners manual. Thanks again!
